Abstract

The transformations of the last 20 years at the technological level, the discoveries in science have also led to changes in the role and place of education in the school environment. A strategy that provides the possibility of transmitting content online, creating "mirror classroom" is flipped classroom, Thus, students can view from home, class, collaborate and socialize with colleagues on the topic of proposed History, after becoming familiar with the new content outside the classroom. This strategy was useful in the context of the pandemic and the move of the teaching activity into the virtual environment. After March 2020, students and teachers applied knowledge to the History discipline, with the ability to use new digital tools and applications, as well as digital platforms. The exchange of ideas, the experiential learning carried out by students and teachers in collaboration are positive aspects of learning History in the virtual environment. Acquiring specific skills using the new digital tools provides the possibility of cooperative learning in the virtual space, the conduct of learning activities with an applicative role, and the organisation of personalized learning pathways facilitating students' access to verified data proposed by the teacher. Difficulties in the use of technology and lack of real empathy and communication are the main drawbacks of online learning.
